Presumably - but people do all sorts of daft things.
IF it is then just connect Yellow to L and Blue to N. Terminate the Red and sleeved Earth safely.
Somewhat confusing ???
Have you tried oil? Cheaper and easier than a new fan.
Maybe your bathroom needs a timer fan. Had it got a window that can be opened?

Do you have a fused connector or three-pole switch anywhere?
If it was working before, then it should work now.

When I connect the permanent live and neutral to the fan, it does work. But it's permanently on of course.. So the fan does work.
You mean it does not work with the Switched Live instead of the Permanent Live.
If so, then you need to determine why the Switch Live does NOT become live when switched on.

Yeah, it doesn't work with the switched live. It used to come on with the light, there was no separate switch..
Check that the Yellow wire copper core has not snapped inside the insulation. Does it feel floppy at any point near the end?
Otherwise you will need to find the other end of the Yellow wire.

Thanks. Could I not check the resistance with the power off to see if there's a break in the wire?
