Hi all.

I have a 1 1/2 kitchen wash basin. As you will see in the pic, I have a leak from the part that is circled. I have tried boss white around it but the water is coming back the way I guess. The join is not tight as the thread doesn't seem to tighten up properly around the inner pipe for some reason.

Please can someone recommend a part to solve this or another way to set it all up?

Thanks in advance

The waste fitting is the big round white thing ,immediately under the sink ,below that ,where its all brown looks as though it may be leaky.

How could I lower the last pipe on the way out. The welded sealed one? Could I cut it and reattach it somehow making it attach to the trap lower?

As @seco services mentions, the whole thing isn't quite right.

That whole horizontal section is above the level of the water seal in the trap and will never empty properly. It also looks like the waste pipework has been mixed up and the trap has been 'created' out of bits from one make and the other waste pipework from another. It's also back to front as the higher 1/2 bowl sink would usually have the adjustable height end of the pipework on it.

The way the sink has been fitted onto the cabinet is what's caused the problem by the looks of it. You may be able to get enough adjustment using a double bowl sink waste setup.
