Advice on these particular combi boilers

Hi people

So had a few quotes for a replacement boiler, and I have come to realise is most gas engineers nowadays only recommend the boiler they are trained installers of....
So these are the boilers I have quotes for
Vaillant ecotec plus 832
Baxi 36kw 800 series
Viessmann 35kw either 0-50w or 100w open vented
Its for a detached house with a total of 17 radiators and one thermostatic mixer shower.
All the boilers are offered with a 10 year warranty except the 0-50w Viessmann at 7 years.
The price is similar for all.
So what do you guys here think is the pick of these?
Cheers for any advice.

Of the four listed above, I'd go for the Viessmann 100-W, although in reality I'd choose an Intergas ECO RF over all of them

Thanks for the quick reply.
I enquired about Intergas with my local merchants but he told me they'd hardly sold any in 7 years?
Any idea why they are not more popular?

I suspect a lot of the reason is because Intergas are not so well known outside the trade, and with a certain Consumer's magazine constantly plugging certain manufacturers products, a lot of folks are led towards those products. If the Professionals are fitting Intergas in their own homes, then that has to say something.

Many, many years I used to fit plenty of remote car alarms. I always pushed the Harry Moss ones as they were cheap to buy and easy to fit. Crap though. When asked what I had fitted on my cars, I said 'Why, Harry Moss of course’.

Probably because they don't stock them and a lot of installers will just take whatever they keep on the shelf. If the merchant doesn't take the time to understand the benefits of the product, and the installer doesn't either, then they're just going to sell whatever is easiest to sell. That's how Worshitter have done so well - spending millions of pounds every year on advertising telling people how utterly wonderful they are, and so they become really easy to sell and the circle is complete.

You realise incorrectly.Fitters will fit any boiler you like..

Maybe they obtained the Brand X item direct from the manufacturer at a massive discount in return for a binding agreement to not install any other make..

Maybe the heating and hot water requirements of the professional's house and family are compatible with a Brand X boiler. The customer's heating and hot water requirements may be very different and require a different type / make of boiler.

But the professional is committed to Brand X so either walks away from the job or fits a Brand X boiler that does not meet the customer's requirements,

Just saying what I believe is true of some "professional" installers. Last January friends wanted Brand Y for their new boiler, the only installer who was not booked up for weeks was a Brand X guy and would not ( could not ) install anything but Brand X.

Maybe they just fit lots of one boiler Bernard because it is much easier!!..Not everything is a cynical conspiracy to shaft somebody

I don't think it is a case of shafting anyone. Just that the customer may not get the system best suited to their requirement,

It is a marketting process where manufacturers use their favoured installers to act as sales agents for their product.

Thanks for the input guys.
I have managed to find an intergas installer so getting a quote off them too.
Anyone else got any advice regarding the other boilers mentioned? It's quiet confusing regarding the 100w open vent viessman as it doesn't have the same LCD touchscreen as the 100w system boiler will it will be as good internally?
