Backer board over 25mm ply with 30mm tray

I got 25mm plywood for the new bathroom floor to use with a former tray however I think the ply might be too thick???

The level access shower former is 30mm leaving 5mm for the backer board I can only see 6mm backer board available.

Is there a size of backer board somewhere that works with this or should I change to 20mm ply and if I do how do I compensate for height differences?

The ply isn’t cheap
