Advice for Wall hung TV socket in the wrong place directly behind the TV

Hi

Through poor planning etc I placed a double socket behind my Wall hung TV, which sits directly in the gap of the below bracket.

When I close the bracket, if fits neatly around the gap in the arm, but then pushes on the plug cable, as it comes out of the plug.

To get the TV to fit more flush to the wall I have been thinking

1) Move socket or Move TV (not sure I want to do this just yet)
TV will be too high or too low
Not enough wiring in the wall to move the socket up or down

2) Can I hard wire a 3 gang extension in to the double socket, so the wire pops out of the front and it extension is velcro'd to the tv, where there is space higher up, as the TV gets slimmer at the top (Does this type of socket even exist?)

3) Is there a Plug where the wire comes out of the side? as the brackets arm fits tightly over the plug top and bottom, but plenty of room at the side.

Fit a second socket in the correct place, spured off other (or fit blank plate)

Shame you fitted a double, otherwise you could have rotated 90 degrees

Can you change the back box to a twin, that is a box to take 2 single sockets and fit them sideways.
Would turning the double upsidedown work?

I'm thinking sideways might be winning out.
(I actually put 2 doubles in

), So may look to do 2 x singles sideways.

All that good planning with multiple sockets, should have bought the TV bracket first

you can "hard wire a 3 gang extension in to the double socket" if you change the liner of the socket to a double liner and use an FCU with a cable out:

From memory, there is a little knock out tab in bottom. And a cable stress plate like in plug to stop cable from being pulled out. Sorry I could not find an image.

Others have it coming out of hole in front plate.

If you have 2 doubles and you are planning to change to a dual, can you not change both to dual and fit 3 or 4 sockets sideways?

Edit: if this is a spur off a ring, fit 3 single sockets and a FCU in 2 dual boxes.

Hang on, you have 2 doubles? are these on above the other? can the 2 boxes be turned sideways.

Be aware that some of these have a flex outlet (either bottom front or bottom edge) and some don't have a flex outlet AT ALL, so check first.

So, below shows how I managed to place the sockets in the sweet spot for the TV.
But the bracket does slot over the sockets.

After these posts, I am thinking of blanking off the two sockets on the left and switch the double on the right to be a blank and switched fused, with a 3 gang extension wired in. The extension can sit next to the shield and the TV and fit, more snug against the wall.
