Engineered Flooring - couple of issues

I laid the flooring through my flat, living room, hall and 2 bedrooms. My girlfriend told me I should put down that plastic sheeting stuff to protect it, I didn't listen, she was right I was wrong (I'm hearing that a lot just now!!!).

So now there are a couple of bits on the floor where there have been scuffs/marks, and I've rubbed them clean, but obviously rubbed them a little too much as they're now noticeably lighter than the rest of the floor. Can you spot treat these? What would I use to darken these bits a little, to kind of blend it in with the flooring?

The other thing is - whenever I clean the floor, it looks great, but then when it's completely dry, it looks kind of dry/dusty/cloudy. I'm not sure why. It came oiled already, but should I have oiled it again?

The flooring is Kahrs Artisan Oak Wheat (https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/...rs_artisan_oak_wheat_engineered_wood_flooring). If I should oil it again, can anyone recommend what to use?

Did you clean the floor, after you laid it? Do a search on hardwood floor cleaning,
The new wood would have needed a coat of hard oil as above post, there are other makes.
When you oil, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Then do once a year, my scuffs & scratches disappear, although you do look for them on a NEW floor.

Does it matter about the colour of the oil? Does it come in different shades?

The flooring is relatively new, so I assume I don't have to sand it down first?

Also, what about the lighter spots, should I treat them with something else before oiling? There's no scratches or cracks, its just lightened.

I didn't clean it immediately, no. Only as and when it looked as though it was a bit mucky. It's been down about 5 weeks.

When you say follow the instructions, I have looked online and it seems to suggest sanding before oiling. Is that absolutely necessary?

Its a new floor,, no need to sand.
Just clean it, I do mine with clean water first (change it when it needs it), then use a proprietary cleaner.
Then oil, DO NOT WALK ON IT TILL DRY.

How do you clean the floor?

If you have been mopping the floor with water, this will damage the floor. You should never introduce water in quantity to any wood based flooring. At most a cleaner like Woods Good Natural Floor soap applied through a spray bottle and wiped down with a microfibre cloth is all you should need.
