how to get into the car

The battery seems to be flat, fully centrally locked, how do I get into it, there's no key holes?

What car is it?

Is there an ignition key?

I have a car where the boot is locked and opened by buttons, but there is a hidden keyhole (the battery and electronics are in the boot)

Is the battery in the boot?

On mine, if you crouch down and look up, on the lip of the bootlid above the numberplate is the secret keyhole.

I believe on some models it is hidden behind a badge.

When you find it, put a little WD40 on the key and insert it a few times.

If the lock has not been used for years the disks may be dirty. There are no springs on them. Any excess will drip out as it faces down.

Cheers, all sorted.

There is a key hole on the door handle, you have to prise off the cover to access it.

Edit; Sorry, I made a mistake in that I didn't read properly. It's the XF that has key hole under plastic on door handle.

If you said 'how you sorted it', it could help others.

As per JohnD's advice, hidden keyhole under the boot sill, opened the boot alarms went off (clearly battery not flat) pressed the open button on the key fob, seemed to reset everything, all good. I did have an engine warning light on though, but I ignored it, and it went out eventually..
