Are you saying it's not in the Maastricht Treaty? I've already been down that road with Notch. As for pointing out where it affected UK policy, I did, I pointed out the Maastricht Treaty which the UK agreed to and signed, are you saying we didn't?

Like Notch, you're big on insults but extremely short on facts.

Wow are you so thick. Do you even know how the reforms and MTOs impact and update the Stability act? If you did you would know how bloody stupid your point is.

Like your point on EU causing UK austerity another complete fabrication.

What is wrong with Brexiters? Dunning Kruger 101.

Where did you point out how Maastricht affected Uk austerity? Complete lie

Your as bad as dp with your lack of understanding.

, you are the one who said you don't have to prove anything.

That implies you will just say whatever you want
You lot are expert at twisting things around into your own ""facts"""..no wonder you believe all the EU hype.

Maastricht Treaty.

treaty
[ˈtriːti]
NOUN
a formally concluded and ratified agreement between states.
"the two Presidents signed a ten-year treaty of solidarity"
synonyms:
agreement · settlement · pact · deal · entente · concordat · accord · concord · protocol · compact · convention · contract · covenant · bargain · pledge · armistice · truce · alliance

Right, the treaty dictates the degrees of deficit and debt, we've been through those earlier, in fact many times although you still seem unable to grasp it. We signed up to the Treaty, agreement, pact, deal, entente, concordat, accord, concord, protocol, compact, convention, contract, covenant etc etc etc, We signed up to it.

We have to send the EU quarterly reports on how good or bad we've been in terms of debt/deficit, look, here's one of the more recent ones.

UK government debt and deficit: March 2019
Quarterly estimates of UK government deficit and debt, given to the European Commission under the excessive deficit procedure protocol, as part of the Maastricht Treaty.

1. Main points

  • General government gross debt was £1,821.3 billion at the end of the financial year ending March 2019, equivalent to 85.2% of gross domestic product (GDP) and 25.2 percentage points above the reference value of 60% set out in the Protocol on the Excessive Deficit Procedure.

  • General government gross debt first exceeded the 60% Maastricht reference value at the end of the financial year ending March 2010, when it was 69.6% of GDP.

  • General government deficit (or net borrowing) was £25.5 billion in the financial year ending March 2019, equivalent to 1.2% of GDP and 1.8 percentage points below the reference value of 3.0% set out in the Protocol on the Excessive Deficit Procedure.

  • This is the third consecutive financial year in which general government deficit has been below the 3.0% Maastricht reference value.

Now, you can call me stupid, you can deny the existence of the Maastricht Treaty and it's effect on EU country's fiscal policies, you can call me a liar, you can call the EU a liar and even with a link to a government site that again reaffirms everything I've previously stated, you can call the government a liar.

Really mate, roll over, give up, you're making yourself look very very stupid indeed. Are you sure you've got 3 degrees, I doubt you've even got 3 cse's.

Q = How come MPs keep finding stuff in the WAB that flatly contradicts what Johnson has told them.

A= Because Johnson is a liar and can not be trusted.

Johnson has been telling parliament to vote through the deal to stop no deal
Johnson has been telling ERG to vote through the deal to facilitate no deal.
Johnson is a lying sea nut

Oh dear here we go spending too much time with your friends on here?

So... lets cast our mind back.

'Hes lying he's not going for a deal at all..he's not even making the effort hes fooled you all and is going for no deal..'
Many of you said that. When in reality he had fooled you all into believing that very notion, when in fact his team were working on a deal all the time. (Which of course transpired to be worse than TMs deal according to critics)

I agree with one aspect it shouldn't be shoved through it has to be checked. But up until now look at the way TM was treated and how Brexit has been thwarted delayed at every step. You lot yourself have come out with every ridiculous reason to negate and ignore the brexit referendum majority vote. Corbyn and Swinson and fat porker haggis head have done nothing but attempt to frustrate and ridicule our leader.

Bercow Benn et all have been heralded as heroes anyone who is willing to foul the opposing striker is supported here.

I say yes give it time, allow it to be reviewed but let's not have these idiots in there adding amendments in an attempt to 'filibuster' the progress.

This is the problem I see, and I stand by what I originally said here. You remain idiots have played the spoilt bratt card the whole way through,. If I cant win nobody will. Spoiling the pieces of the game in tantrum act.
These various acts implemented to thwart delay remove bargaining deadlines etc have caused I feel a rushed and result part blame by Boris setting do or die to 31st causing the opposition to ensure in some way he failed that date for GE ammo. Instead we are left with a deal potentially watered down noone wins. Well done.

You repeat the same Maastrict treaty again and again as if its your 'Chamberlain Letter'. The point your dolt brain cannot accept is that you claimed the EU caused austerity in the UK - which you could not back up.

Then you keep on repeating the same old stuff - adding nothing because you know any understanding would lead to the conclusion you have it wrong.

You are desperately trying to make out how the EU caused UK austerity via the Maastricht agreement but as has been pointed out many times this is not the case so you copy and paste some points of the Maastricht treaty and say "it proves your point". What it does do is prove you haven't understood it fully.

Perhaps let me explain it for your simple brain to understand. The speed limit is 50mph but for heavy goods vehicles for cars its national speed limit, you keep on saying the speed limit is 50mph, its 50mph, its 50mph but we are not driving a heavy goods vehicle so that speed limit does not apply to us.

So insecure, not having a formal education and it shows.

Here's a novel idea Galahad, stop calling me names, stop swerving, start proving me wrong with a few facts. Notch couldn't do it, he spent two weeks stating no such clauses were even in the Maastricht Treaty, I'm not sure he even acknowledges it now.

Explain to me. If we've signed up to a treaty, and that treaty puts limits on debt/deficit, how on earth can that not be reflected in UK fiscal policy.

One of you (might have been Notch) came back the other day thinking he had me beat by stating it only applied to members of the eurozone, that argument fell flat after I pointed out the Maastricht Treaty was ratified nearly ten years before the introduction of the Euro.

Oops, nevermind, resort to name calling and obfuscation. It might give you some temporary satisfaction, but it serves only to reinforce my argument and make you look foolish.

Here's a challenge for you demonstrate your undoubted intellect, try and come up with a riposte that doesn't contain a torrent of name calling and abuse, and hit me a few facts that prove me wrong, why don't you start with my link to a govt website showing one of our quarterly reports to the EU.

One of you (might have been Notch) came back the other day thinking he had me beat by stating it only applied to members of the eurozone

Fillyboy, you must contact the European council quickly, they are under the illusion it only applies to the Eurozone, they even state it one their website:

Over the period, the Council found twice, in April 2009 and June 2015, that the UK had not taken effective action in response to its recommendations. But as the UK is not in the eurozone, fines could not be imposed

Fillyboy is tearing himself apart trying to argue against facts

Wrong

Change the word 'dictates' to 'recommends'

Q =How are you getting on with proof that austerity was caused by EU not Tory party?
A = you arent: zilch
