Hi I was looking at an approximate cost of fitting a radiator here where the yellow arrow is, I have a standard central heating system the previous owner didn’t fit one because he had a gas fireplace, the floor has floorboards under the laminate flooring, there is another radiator in the hallway and one in the second reception room, I’m wondering would it be a difficult job, thank you

I don't think you are going to get any realistic ideas, as so much is unknown. Such as:

1. Are you prepared to have the laminate flooring lifted to lay pipes underneath? Lifting and relaying would probably require a specialist at extra cost.
2. Which way do the floorboards run, and is there a vent space under the joists beneath the boards?
3. Would you be prepared (and is it feasible, allowing for doorways / other openings) to have the pipework surface mounted?
4. Where is the nearest point where the 22 mm backbone pipework could be tapped into?
5. Can the boiler cope with an additional radiator? (Almost certainly yes).
6. Can a radiator of sufficient capacity to heat the room be fitted where you want it? (Again, almost certainly yes).

I'd suggest you get one or two plumbers, preferably vouched for by friends / family, to give you an estimate. You might get a fixed price quotation after a site visit, but so much will remain unseen until the job starts I for one would only give an estimate and a day rate.

Ok thanks for the advice the next door neighbours house is identical to ours and has a similar layout also it has a radiator in the position I wanted it so I Hope it should be possible

Of course its possible to put a radiator where you want it. Its simply a question of how the pipework can be routed ,what needs to be done to get it to where it needs to be and any disruption / redecorating required. That requires a site visit to establish before a price can be given.

Is the front hall next to the lounge? If so, you can just send the pipe through the wall and along the skirting, it'll be out of sight in the corner of the room.

or just run some hoses across the floor

Well, they could be chased in. But if the front room is next to the hall, they'll only need a short run in the corner that's behind the sofa and out of sight. A lot easier than ripping floors up.
