Hi all, I recently bought my first house in August. I had a survey done on it before I purchased that came back fine. No signs of subsidence etc.

While decorating I found quite a large vertical crack in the plaster close to one of the windows. I figured since the report on the house came back fine it was nothing to worry about and just filled it. Anyway today I have been having that window replaced. While they have been replacing it some of the plaster has come off and I noticed there is a brick split in half. Which has got me quite worried! If I look at the same spot on the outside of the house all looks fine. No cracks. But this interior wall, well see the picture below o_O I'm not sure if this is someones bodge job or a serious issue?

This is a 60's house, and the window is upstairs at the front in the left corner.

Thank you for the reply! As its the inner wall is that why you think it is nothing to worry about? I was just a bit concerned to see a split brick.

There would be a natural joint, or a common crack in that location anyway. Its not a structural concern.
