Hi

I’ve ordered a cover for the Sky cable as it comes through outside wall. The original has come off and been lost, but the silicone remains. Should I remove the old silicon, or stick the new cover to it?

Ta

(The cable visible in the left of the image is BB fibre to the property)

New cover to existing silicone.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
In your case, if it doesn't let water in, leave it alone.

Thanks. Agree about leaving existing silicone, as welded to brick work. To stick the new cover I would have to apply more silicone to existing stuff, would that work?

Cheers
