Good quality windows and doors at reasonable prices ??

Hi

,

I’m getting a wrap round extension done shortly and it will be new composite front door, french door, and windows all round. I’ll be going for grey coloured frames.

Is there a company that stands out above the rest for good quality at reasonable prices, or are they all the same ?? I’m in the north east of England (just in case that matters). Could be a self fit by my builders, or get a pro fitter in, not bothered either way.

IIRC composite doors - solidor are supposed to be good. One think I learned about online is that some companies are not permitted to work on new builds because they don't meet the minimum requirements, so they can only work on domestic properties. I've no idea how true this is. In the end, I went for a local company that fits doors and windows in schools, council buildings, offices, as well as houses. The price was the same as other local companies.

I bought mine direct from a place in Bolton called Keyframe. They deliver all over.

I have a Solidor, it’s very slightly bent, still locks, closes and seals fine, it’s just annoying that I know it’s a few mm bent.
