Hi,
I'm currently replacing an old shower tray that has a P Trap directly underneath the old waste.
Can someone confirm whether modern shower wastes need a P Trap any longer or are they built in?
For example, I'm looking at the McAlpine ST range of shower wastes and it's listed as a trap:

Also from the Screwfix Q&A:
Is this a trap or do you have to fit a u bend further along the pipe Work?

There is no further U bend required.

Thanks for the confirmation guys.

Is there a recommended minimum distance between the shower trap and the first bend?
