Drill hole from attic to outside wall

To put it simply as others have said..... you’ve proved your aerial/signal is fine. It’s now either the amp or the wires from the amp outlets that are not working properly. It’s too much to think all the wires are duff, so my suggestion is the amp. Take it back and get a different model. Nothing fancy, just a simple distribution amp. There should be no reason why it doesn’t work.

If it's the labgear 2061 (manual here) then there are separate ports for analog signals and digital signals.

Hi IT Minion, its labgear ldl 208. 8 port old version about 2 year ago. The wires are not twisted they are just bunched together. Can anyone suggest a good amplifier. Or can I just install a splitter instead of amplifier

Thanks once again everyone for your help

How many TVs are connected? Depending on your signal strength and number of tvs, splitting with a dedicated splitter box is possible. However, each time you split, you’re sharing the signal between TVs. There comes a point where you split too many times and the signal is too weak to each tv and you loose channels and get pixelated. What this magic number is and how strong your signal is without test gear is a guess.

i have found distribution amps are much of a muchness. Nothing really special about them. I’d just get one with the appropriate number of outlets from somewhere like screwfix where you can easily take back if you’re careful with the packaging.

If you’ve got a good input signal I’d be surprised if a new amp isn’t simply a case of plug and play.

Hi Pilsbury, thank you for your note. I have 5 TVs in total and at any given time I have about 1 or 2 tvs on depending who controls the remote or who wins the fight for an ultimate control of the remote.

Thanks B

How many TVs are on at any one time has no relevance when splitting. Get a 6 way distribution amp ( or 8 way if you’re planning for more TVs) and it really should be sorted. your troubleshooting seems to point at the amp. A new one of those will confirm and then it’s either tea and medals or back to head scratching!
