WTF?!

It does appear that we have the most stupid munters... unless there is an unnaturally high proportion who like DIY.

Take a bow Festive. :)
Hey CC I think we all like a bit of DIY from time to time? (y)

why isn't everyone on benefits using food banks?
Because there's a lot of fiercely proud people out there.
(I know what you're going to say, so don't bother)
Some who don't receive benefits go to food banks.
Some who go get turned away.
Many parents go without to feed their kids.

Relatively is a cover all term..are.you saying anyone with enough money to feed themselves eats sensibly and is normal weight?

Not at all but people who are really poor and need food banks are unlikely newly obese. By relatively, i mean if you have the money to buy more food than you need, you are relatively wealthy, far wealthier than many of the people who need food banks.

There are still many people in the uk that are living in poverty and are malnourished.

There are many different reasons not all people on benefits don't use food banks, just the same as why not all Catholic priests are kiddy fiddlers ( sirGaliahead wanted to know) and conversely, there are reasons some people not on benefits use food banks, and some people who aren't Catholic priest are kiddy fiddlers.

To much money is given and wasted on dead beats and no hopers imo

Children are used as cash cows

This is the truth. The majority of welfare payments go to the undeserving (I exclude pensioners of course, where they have paid into the system.)

State handouts to those who have not paid in should never be in cash. Bring back the workhouses.

Ex soldiers suffering PTSD.....they dont deserve help. Andy11 says let them beg on the streets.

People with severe disabilities.....they dont deserve benefits. Andy11 says make them do a PIP assessment and refuse em benefits.

Andy11 doesnt suffer mental health issues nor has a disability do he doesnt give a fuk about those that do.

Well that's gotta deserve one of the most inaccurate posts of 2019 !

about 5 years ago only 2.2% off benefits went on unemployment benefit the biggest was pensioners with usually hard working working people on low pay or adults with kids getting top ups the next group then disabillitiy then unemployment benefit a small fraction at 2.2%
statistics and a pie chart here
https://obr.uk/forecasts-in-depth/brief-guides-and-explainers/an-obr-guide-to-welfare-spending/

"
What is welfare spending spent on?
AT any one time over half of all families receive income from at least one benefit in the welfare system – and most people will receive one or more welfare payments for well over a third of their lives (including child benefit when young and the state pension when retired)."
