Help please - Fiesta no ignition after jump start

It's a 2010 1.4 TDCI diesel Zetec. My daughter called me last night. It belongs to her friend and it wasn't starting. There was enough in the battery to turn the ignition lights on and the headlights, but it wouldn't turn over. They decided to jump start it (with no success) and now not even the ignition lights will come on, but the headlights still work.

I'm wondering whether they've blown a master fuse of some sort, or maybe a fusible link? Does anyone have any experience with these cars, please, so I can tell them where to look?

Check out the main heavy duty fuses adjacent to the battery positive terminal....usually a dealer part or from a good motor factors.

Thanks John, They still have headlights (and some other electrical circuits) but ignition circuits seem to be dead.

If its typical Ford, the fuse block incorporates the battery positive clamp......if I recall correctly there are 4 or 5 fuses in that block.
You may have to replace the entire block if one has departed!
