Hi,

Returned from holiday and discovered the pressure had dropped and a stain on the carpet on our small rad.

Amid pressure low, system still seems to function without any issues.

I would like to replace the leaking part, I would say its the seal, but may be easier to replace the elbow itself... but don't know what it is actually called... can someone advise please?

Thanks

Have you tried tightening the connector? Turn clockwise looking from the rad.

Do you mean the silver nut, connecting the elbow to the TRV or the white clip?
Forget what I wrote.

I thought it was a standard hex nut connecting the elbow to the white pipe; I didn't realize, until I enlarged the pic, that the pipe is plastic.

yes but remember water will come out yo u say you have a pressurised system so you would have to release the pressure and drain the part you are working on, as already said highly unlikely you need this fitting, if the 10mm was cut using proper cutters and the correct insert used it is unlikely to leak, if the joint hasnt been made properly re-doing it should stop the leak if it is indeed leaking from there

Do you think it could be caused by some dirt over time?
