There was an American pharmaceutical person on the radio the other day stating that drugs which cost a thousand dollars in the US only cost (can't remember exactly but say) three hundred in the UK so the NHS should pay the thousand.
It hadn't seemed to have occurred to him that the three hundred might be the fair price in the US as well..
