Almost all of the Conservative Party’s recent Facebook adverts promote claims labelled as misleading by one of the platform’s third-party fact-checking partners, a First Draft investigation has found.

Nearly 90% of the ads posted in the first days of December push figures already challenged by Full Fact, the UK’s leading fact-checking organisation. The non-partisan, independent charity works with the tech giant to assess posts which have been reported as misleading or false by users in the UK.

Sadly, the damage is done. The fingers in the ears brigade will claim these independent fact checkers are on the payroll of the opposition etc etc. Seems Boris disciples no longer care for anything even close to the truth.

I concur. The law needs to catch up. Instead they focus on voter ID - a total non issue - 1 conviction in 2017 elections.
 
It's too late. Tories are backed by billionaires, Russia, Trump and a long list of other right wingers who are only interested in safeguarding their offshore investments to ensure wealth stays with the richest - and we're not talking about the wealth in terms of hundreds of thousands, so no need to pipe up with the usual BS unless you have over 10 million in assets.

The content of the links pretty much concurs with the headlines: Tory false claims.
The level of fake news and misinformation by Tory sources is appalling, there is simply no equivalence with other parties.

The Lies get excused: brexiteers always respond with "everybody lies".

Let us remember, Johnson is running this campaign with advice from Steve Bannon, Trump's campaign manager.

The media, which has a significant RW bias colludes in this. Sadly it does not get called out and it is winning.

I know you will say you were just taking the **** but, as it's not true, durhamplumber and others will believe you.

That's what Johnson is doing.
