My son just bought new house which included the above fridge, the house had been empty for about 6 months and the fridge was switched off in that time. When it was switched on the first time it seem to work briefly and froze some water in the freezer. We then adjusted the temperature control on a dial which is marked 1 to 5. Since then no matter what we do it refuses to to freeze up. The motor seems to be working judging by the noise and the light comes on.
There is also a switch beneath the internal light which we think is a fast freeze switch but this does not have any effect, Not to sure if this switch should be up or down to have any effect.
Is this a major problem or is it beyond repair.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
