Hi,

I need to remove the radiator thermostat head in the pictures below. I'm thinking I need to loosen the metal part and then I'll be able to remove the plastic thermostat part. However, I'm worried it may loosen/remove the whole radiator valve which I don't want to do.

Anyone got any tips? It's Danfoss, although I don't know the model number.

Never seen one like it here in the UK, but if you think about it, the only way it could have been installed is by doing up that nut, so the only way it can be taken out is by undoing it. Take it very slowly, and if water appears, screw it back up again quickly. Set the white plastic head to fully open (maximum temperature) before removing / re-installing.

Never seen one of these in UK, but is the chrome nut one piece with the shoulder below it? One of the UK units has a similar arrangement but all plastic. Hold the collar and unscrew the nut. Taking it gently you will not damage if this does not work.
