Living room light has an Energenie MiHome light switch will without me doing anything switch off or on, there are a number of ways to officially turn is off/on, remote controls the phone, the PC, set times, or even pushing the switch.

I would assume it is either some signal from unknown source or some timed switching left in the system, I have not used IFTTT so should not be that, but can't work out what turns it off, any ideas what could cause it.

My smart lights are Phillips Hue, and after a power cut they default to all on (which is annoying). Never had them turn off without reason though.

I think I am doing some thing silly, tried de-pairing remote controls and ensuring only one paired, it will allow three, I have looked on the tablet and PC to see if any timed switching, all three timers disabled, it was my habit to set timer on and off a minute latter to ensure lights switched off, but that does not show up on PC.

Lights default off after a power cut, but sitting watching TV today, the lights switched off, and before I could grab remote switched back on.

Try deleting the device and adding it again as a new device. Also check the app and the web portal for timers.

Power cuts have upset my energenie devices in the past for some reason.

Could be your smart meter practising for load shedding when the electric company sees fit :D.
