Texecom Premier and Smartcom problem

Hi,

A friend has installed a Texecom Premier wired system with a Smartcom unit.

I wasn't with him when installing so not 100% sure of the setup process he used.

The issue is that the Smartcom unit has the Cloud LED flashing.

It's a wired connection to the BT hub. The ethernet LED is solid on.

Any recommendations on the best process to get the cloud connection working.

Hi,

Sorry should have clarified that.

The alarm system is fine and works. The Smartcom has never worked and has always had the cloud LED flashing.

The App my friend has is currently stuck on trying to update the Smartcon firmware, which I I guess it would as it cant get to the Texecom server.

Would it best best to start again with the Smartcom setup process leaving the system as it currently is, or does anything need to be deleted/reset first.

Are you getting any error messages when trying to generate an app code on the panel? Providing the instructions for setting up the Smartcom have been followed to the letter, on an ethernet connection it's rare to get any problems TBH. Details of any error messages will help to narrow it down.
 
Firstly panel firmware and smart com firmware versions?

Then its looking at programming and how it responds when you try to generate an app code
