We just finished our bathroom but after using the shower i decided to pop off the bath panel to make sure there was no leaks round the silicone only to find that there is water getting through from the black plastic bolts underneath the taps....the space is too tight to get a spanner in to nip them up further....they are tight enough that the taps dont move so could i just silicone them up underneath and if so whats the best and strongest available that i could use.....cheers

There should be rubber washers between the underside of tap to bath ,and taps must be centred through the holes in the bath ,to prevent water getting to where you see it.
You should re fit them. Putting silicone on the under side where the black back nuts are is unlikely to be successful.

There are rubber washers between the black plastic bolt and the underside of the bath i just cant get anywhere near them to tighten..do the make deep sockets or something similar

Get a Essex blue fix a tap fittings kit ( ebay or amazon ) that'll replace the c*** washers and hold the taps central too.

Just tightening the nuts will not work.
The rubber washer must be on the top rim of the bath ,under the tap.

My tap didnt come with anything else...just tap black rubber and on the black nut is a groove for the rubber

The tap may have Rubber O ring seals ,on the bottom of the tap ,and if the tap isn't centralised , may not be sealing around the holes in the bath. But there MUST be a seal between the metal tap and around the holes in the bath. If there isn't , it is inevitable that water will get between ,and down the threaded tap tail.

Tried tightening and one of the plastic nuts broke.....also when i lifted the tap out the rubber seal wasnt seated in the groove and the bottom bit of the tap was loose....personally i dont think the loose bit is the issue just a case of a bad seal....off tro screfix for some brass
washers

Wont seal as the plumbers made a complete ass of fitting the tap...the bath has a slight angle and he has basicly cut the hole too close to this so front side seals whilst the back is loose....im goubg to have to go back to screwfix again for another set of plastic washers to bulk it up so both sides are even....if thst doesnt work im having to gun it to **** with silicone

Is the top surface of the bath curved ,or just at a steep angle ? The back nuts appear to be sitting flat against the underside of the bath ,as one would expect ,and the tap is inclined forward ,sloping inward to the tub. That would indicate a problem with the top surface of the bath ,rather than the position that the holes have been made in.
Can you post pics of the tap / bath top surface ?
