One or two people to connect a dual fuel cooker (LPG)? DIY-able? Cost?

Will be having a new dual fuel range type cooker coming soon. It's a direct replacement for the old one and will be in the same place as well, so the cable and hose are already there. Just needs connecting. Although saying that, the LPG jets will need fitting as well.

It's LPG - does that make any difference in terms of Corgi, competent persons, etc? And are there "regs" that an electrician has to connect it? Is it DIY-able?

If not, will it be a case of having to get two tradesmen out?

The retailer offers fitting at the price of £100. Is that good value?

It's no longer corgi it's gas Safe nowadays

It's not really diy-able as the run of the mill diyer hasn't got the necessary test gear to ensure the gas installation is safe

There are regs that the electrical side has to confirm to too.

I suspect it will cost you more than £100 to get your own tradesman in so I would be taking up the retailer on there offer

pay the £100. piece of mind then. LPG does require different certification than mains as its higher pressure. make sure they can do LPG
