Look for this symbol

which indicates that an isolating transformer is part of the item.

They tend to be large and heavy

but the added safety is worth it.

Be it a son light bulb in standard E27 holder, or a rouge 110 volt bulb it is all too easy to get a miss match, as to how to reduce the problem I really don't know, colour codes? I tried these

Didn't work though even with names inside the id tags.

I just print a double label and fold it over the end

Interesting, i confused by the original post (although glad you're still here with a house to live in) we always unplug or switch off at the wall, the actual mains power and I'd never thought to just pull out the little coaxial plug.
Having said that, i always pull the tiny plug at the phone end when taking my phone off charge

Do you use "flag" tape ? I know when I first got a label printer (at a previous job), it was a while before I figured out what was special about Brother's "flag" tape.
I realised when all the flags I'd done with standard tape (and there were a lot of them, this was a structured cabling install) came unstuck

No, paper tape.
Plastic tape does come un-folded, paper doesn't (usually).
