Hi,
need some advise on the above please.

first question- does one get an alarm warning at all if back-up battery needs to be replaced? if so what what is the warning please? i have just moved into a new place with this alarm and i dont know when the battery was last changed.

also anything to be aware of when replacing the battery for this particular model 9448+. i dont have the engineer code but i suppose if i open the panel, i will need to enter my user code and should be fine?

i need to open it to find out what battery is in there so i can buy a back up to replace it. i suspect it will need replacing very soon.

is there anything i need to look out for when replacing or before i attempt to replace?

picture of the panel below. seems to be only one screw that needs removing to open panel.

thank you very much in advance

thanks Sparkymarka. so if the battery needs replacing, the internal alarm just goes off randomly. hope not the external main alarm?

Also just been trying to reset the alarm from the previous owner code to something I can remember but no success so far

I believe it’s ‘6’ plus ‘enter’, then ‘old code’ followed by ‘new code’ and then press ‘enter’ again? Tried several times but in vain.

Am I doing this wrong please? Thx
