My husband is due back this weekend and I caught my new car on a bollard at work yesterday. I'm absolutely terrified of what he's going to do. Please can someone help me with the best product to use? I don't mind staying up all night if I have to. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Can't see the image. Can't really comment without seeing the damage.

Its a body shop for that one, I'm afraid....tampering with it yourself will make it worse.
Consider your insurance excess - pay cash and you are around the £300 mark so long as there isn't panel cracking.

Find yourself a husband that won't get angry at you for making a simple mistake?

On a serious note, it all depends on whether it has cut through the paintwork on your car. It's hard to tell if it has or hasn't from the pics. You'll certainly be able to improve the look of it significantly by using a mildly abrasive rubbing compound. Halfords sell their own brand one and one by Turtle Wax. This will definitely get rid of the yellow paint transfer at the bottom. Just use a microfibre cloth and rub it circular motions with a fair amount of pressure. I'm not sure if it will help with the white marks at the top as it's hard to see whether that is paint transfer or the base coat of your car paint showing through but there's nothing to lose giving it a try. Once you've done this, it will leave the paint looking a little duller/hazy. You'll be able to bring the shine back with any good car polish or T-cut.

Looking at the damage from a larger screen.....and hoping I’m wrong but-
Where the damage is white, the scratch has gone down to the primer paint - where its yellow its gone through to the plastic.
Also, looking at the bottom pic, the bumper has been slightly pulled down, as the panel gap is tapering. The bumper will need to be bumped (!) back into place.
John :)

Play the tactical card and tell Hubby you're thinking of customizing the car and you're in the process of trying out ideas.

Its a metal/plastic box on wheels. Its pranged but you're safe and sound. What's there to get angry about?
