What blocks to sit beam and block beams on....

I am have just laid my footing and want to order the blocks to get up to DPC to put my beams on. My heights are such that I can use blocks right up to underneath the beams but what blocks do I need to put directly under the beams. Do they have to be solid dense blocks or can they be standard grade 3.6N or 7N blocks?

Should be ordering the floor through Cube but everytime I phone them, their technical guy isnt in!

I would have thought 3.6 would be ample as long as they are otherwise suitable for the conditions, although I'm not a builder or specifier.
 
Ive always used high density concrete blocks, but Im not sure if the 3.6n ones can be used -although Im not sure I would use them the beams are proper heavy.
 
I mean I would have thought they need to be the dense concrete blocks not the lightweight ones but I just don't know.

On our house the steel beams 3m long holding up the new upstairs external wall and part of the roof were specified by the se to sit on the inner leaf of the lightweight block wall without a padstone.
I questioned this and he said it's no problem with that Load. I can only assume a single beam for a floor would be even more gentle.
The old part of the house was built of cheese so it needed padstones on the existing walls.
However that may not be a wise extrapolation from a steel beam to a floor beam!
