What hinges would be good for two of these wardrobe doors? Are they easy enough to hang? Should I put a magnetic door stop on them. I need to take about an inch off the length do I guess circular saw half inch off top and bottom.

Lourve doors are very light so a pair of butt hinges will work nicely

You will need to fit a door stop all around

How you keep the door closed is totally up to you (and how you open it too)

Some lourve doors are not suitable for trimming however

I was going to use one magnetic stop in the middle, is that not enough? Do you think baton on both sides of lining and top as a door stop?

I was thinking flush hinges as it would save cutting into the nice door lining

I think it looks better with a door stop all around , but you're right it would ruin that nice door lining

Flush hinges will be fine don't forget to bevel your edges to stop the door binding

Have fun!

What does the instructions say about trimming? Otherwise you can take more off the bottom rather than the top. With lourve doors whilst light they do have a tendency to move - use three hinges as a minimum.

What do you mean bevel the edges? Do you mean because they're flush hinges I need to chisel out a bit of door lining on the corner?

Cant find any info on the trimming. I need to take an inch so I guess just do it. Think I read about Louvre doors generally you can take 20mm.

So basically make a leading edge on the hinge side of door. Which is a slight slope on end of door I think this it what that means.

Which corner of the end of door has more taken off? Is it the corner which is near the knuckles of hinge ( the one nearer u when you pull the door towards u) or other corner?

Use an electric planer on 1mm setting I guess tilting it

I read this on topic as well

I hang the the door then plane the leading edge on the lock side if it needed , the ammount to come off can be more accurately accessed this way.
When I did my first house in the 70’s all the sapele flush door came pre finished shrunk wraped with leads so linning had to go in pretty accurate.

Thinking about it i guess it's the corner which first enters the door frame that you plane not other corner so on hinge side the corner where hinges are lined up

Hope your planing skills are better than your English .

I scored the door stop with a Stanley because there was so much paint then hammered in a scraper and prized the stop out and moved back 2mm. Looks a bit of a state though. I guess sand then paint

Should use a wood chisel to remove, door stops are disposable items , cheap to replace.

Yeah does look a bit rubbish now after a the paint it has on it after moving it. Going to take awhile to sand and paint . Might just buy some new wood
