The mortality rate is the big question. Normal flu strains kill about 1 in 10,000 people who catch it. SARS killed close to 1 in 10. So whilst a couple of hundred may die from the flu every year, if it were as dangerous as SARS and spread as widely as normal flu, you'd be looking at hundreds of thousands of deaths.

Antibiotics only work against bacterial infections as far as i know, Viruses are different.
I am not into conspiracy theories, but a mass extinction of the elderly and infirm would solve the pension crisis.

Or export it around the world kiil off a few good million then their army walks in un- challenged to the rescue with a miracle cure (that they already have)
And everyones thankful.
Then China rules the world...

It could be a good time to invest in them surgical face mask things that everyone in China seems to wear, although according to some experts they don't work.

Myself and the Festive gang laughed at this news item earlier...seriously? Did anyone else not think they've just chucked a load of diggers on a plot of land to turn on the spot and pretend to be doing sh't whilst they filmed with a drone, it looked beyond contrived :ROFLMAO:

If anything the real diggers are digging a **** off big hole ready to chuck the contaminated corpses into.

I heard my brother mention Chinese so I asked him while having a wee....
Are you going for a Chinese tonight..... No he's said. Not a chance. You don't know if they have just got off the plane or living with somone who has.... Then cooking our dinner.... Put me off....... said to my mate..... Put him off.... My Dad I think was still up for it.....

Went for a Mexican instead...
