It's being blamed on the Chinese taste for warm (read undercooked) meat. Don't know if that's true though.

Its causes viral pneumonia of which there is no medication. Essentially if you are strong and fit you should be able to fight it off, if your an old guy, you might not be so lucky.

They work, if they're worn and used properly.

Face masks only have the ability to block particles of 0.3 microns, but the coronavirus is smaller at 0.12 microns.
The mask wont stop the virus, but will tend to stop the wearer from directly touching their nose/mouth which is a common way that viruses enter the body.
