My head is working over time thinking about potential extension plans.

Detached Bungalow
Extending to the rear - 8m

Swimming pool is level with the property however there is a drop to the garden of 1m so this ground will need to be built up.

Questions;
1. I will not be building all the way to my neighbours boundary however i will be coming in line with my current side wall which is approx 1m in from neighbours fence. On their side they have a tree (which half over hangs into my garden).
Will building regs have something to say about this? Would they require deeper foundations? Remove tree?

2. On the swimming pool side.... The extension will be apporx 1m from the pools patio area, the pool is a further 1m in from that and is 6ft 6" deep.
Again, what would foundation criteria be?

Have a architect due to have a look next week.

Thank you.
