Is it 'it' that blocks them or the moderators? Perhaps it is a moderator - I know the forum rules state that attempts to block the swear filter will be deleted but it constantly posts words like **** w anker s hit f uck and many others so there seems some rules don’t apply to it.

It's the bickering and childishness that gets threads locked. It's not who said it or what the topic is about so much. It's the childishness and the insults - which lets face it, is pretty much what the GD forum is made of.
The mods have told us all this often enough but people won't listen (including myself at times!). It's really simple to understand.
MOD: Please note, we are expecting new posting guidelines to come out soon, coupled with far more stringent sanctions for guideline offenders, up to and including a permanent ban.

I find these posts directed at Ellal are tantamount to bullying, can those doing please think about your actions -you are making it personal, thats not right.
I get that Ellal does not exactly endear himself with his posts on here, but Brexit has created a very toxic environment for Europeans living in this country, so we should be sympathetic not hostile.
Please guys can we make GD a more friendly place, just think a bit more about other people before posting.
For eg, I have strong disagreements with Fillyboy on brexit, but when I posted about my family probs, he was straght in with a most supportive post.
Most of E's posts fall into the "persistent needling" category, and yet they remain....
