Lighting junction wiring

I just want to tidy up wiring on lighting circuit opened up junction box intended to put in mf box as I am laminate flooring the bedroom. I found this is it ok? Wire not connected

That Earth needs to be connected to the others, have you any Wagos that you could use instead of the single choc block? Looks like the box is "floating" in air so ideally your MF box needs mounting on a piece of wood braced between the joists.
 
Looking at it again looks like the person has used two T&E for the Two way lighting instead of one 3 Core and hence why the Black conductor is unused on the cable at the middle/bottom.
 
For jobs like this I recommend quickwire connectors. So simple and quick to install and easy to fix to the structure.

They only make a connector to replace a ceiling rose (and the jb in the photo is acting as a rose) with loop in and out, switch and load. They are expensive and I've not really looked at using them in a 2 way circuit. One to think about. There was a post that they were working on a 32A version.
 
Should the top red wire be connected or is this cable the neutral and the other the live
 
Hi chivers. I saw this on my phone and missed the 3 core. Magnified image and can see where you are coming from. Its not suited to quickwire.
