I dont know the brand/installers of the windows, I've recently moved in so inherited the existing (old) double glazing. The seals on the inside have shrunk and given my recent gas bill I wonder if replacing the seals would help. Is this something I could do myself? Im a keen novice DIY-er and would like to give it a go if poss. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Do you mean weatherseals on the opening windows or the glazing seal?

Either way, on upvc they are profile specific.

The glazing seal. Had a feeling that might be the case. Can I just take one off/out, have a look and then buy accordingly..?

Pull a bit out and look at the cross section end , Sketch it and take some sizes.
Look for gasket samples on ebay, Once you know the code you can buy it by the meter for 99p
