Hi
Apologies if this subject has been done to death but I'm after a cctv system with
3-4 cameras
Can be fully wired if that's better due to complete rewire of property
Linked to either a recorder or cloud
Viewed from a phone app
Possible spotlight facility
£350 budget supplied not fitted
Thanks in advance

Blink for home is awesome. Cameras can be installed inside or outside and cloud storage is free.

Neos is OK, not designed for outdoors, but works. £25 a camera, something for outside casing, £2.49/month for I think one month saved recordings.
They record on motion and/or sound, record one minute. Send alerts to phone app (I've turned this off, easy to check on the phone).
Just require a usb cable to power them, wifi for internet. So for £75 + £30/yr a simple CCTV to set up.

Pic form my phone right now. Won't be the best to ID somebody, but we just wanted a deterrent and some peace of mind really.

I had Neos but changed them all to the identical looking Wyze cams (only available from Amazon dot com). This was for one reason - as well as the short recordings to the Cloud, both cameras can record 24/7 if you install an SD card but with Neos you have to physically remove the card from the camera to watch the footage on a computer or a phone with an adapter. With Wyze you can watch it from the app without having to remove it from the camera.

You need to choose the correct camera for the application.
Buying cheap is not necessarily the right way to go.
Poor quality equipment will result in poor images during the day time and night time.

Make sure you are getting genuine Hikvision, bought from an authorised UK distributor. There are some dodgy packages advertised that have different cameras substituted.

Out of interest, what made you choose Hikvision?

Had quite a few recommendations from people about Hikvision systems.
I wanted a wired system and these seemed to tick the box.
Saying that I’ve not purchase it yet so I’m open to other recommendations
