Agreed about it being up to scratch, but I feel this OP is going to be like me, only uses the SDS for occasionally drilling holes in (hard) walls of house.
So on a sub £100 budget, if not sub £50.
I note that it is a lot more expensive at Screwfix for £110

I have found them excellent , last one lasted 15 years before it wore out with regular use .
I was almost going to get the dewalt one from RayGrahams but now I am worried if it will be up to the job.
The titan drill paired with some dewalt extreme masonry bits made short work of everything I've tried it on

yes, I got mine for smashing into a concrete raft to bolt down steel feet. If I ever need anything more handy, that Dewalt is much smaller and lighter (my house is made of dense concrete blocks)
Unfortunately my house is rather old brick, and my only alternative is a weedy little Bosch 18v jobbie. Usually requires a pilot hole for anything over 6mm.
Given a recent splurge on tools, I think her indoors would string me up if I brought another drill

You could just get a 2 part resin to fill the holes. The resin will dry hard as 'f*ck'. Harder than any sand or cement mix. Then fix into that. As you've already made a big hole anyway, make sure the resin has something to 'key into' i.e. 'dig in' behind the hole at 45ish degrees. There might be simpler ways but to negate argument this is guaranteed.
