Are they all 'serious criminals'?

you are clutching at straws as usual.

you keep avoiding the fact he spent months in hospital and was diagnosed as bipolar -or are you saying that is just made up.

in any case he does not fit the description of a violent career criminal or rapist.

It was a domestic with provocation.
He served his time and unless it is known he is violent now, he should be allowed to stay.

An English person doesnt suffer further after being released from prison why should he?
Mottie doesn't care about anything like that. He just wants the jolly foreigner out.

A thread about black people and Mottie is on it like a dog in heat. :ROFLMAO:

They are foreign nationals who came over here, committed a serious crime, were convicted and sentenced in a court of law and now they have served their sentence they are being sent back to their home country. I see no problem with that whatsoever. Do you?

I thought some came here as young children and have never been to Jamaica before, and no longer have any family there?

If they have served their sentence, they have paid their debt.

if they arent career criminals and have been leading a peaceful life since leaving prison, why should they be deported?

No apology implied or given. But thanks for demonstrating again your lack of ability to understand the written word! You've just proved my point :)

You also have to consider how sad this is for the families - they pack up and leave their home at the promise from the UK government of having a better life here. Some get good jobs, but others do not and live a life of poverty in inner city areas. They have kids who grow up with little hope and less support, and some get groomed by gangs with promises of a better life byselling drugs. The outcome, their kids get sent back "home" with nothing, to nobody, with even less hope and support they started with.

It probably happens the other way sometimes, but not so much. People go and live in abroad, have kids. Parents die, kids commit a petty crime, then get deported to the UK with nothing - starting out homeless in London doesn't lead to much these days.

We deported a man because he accountant made a mistake on a tax return. We, as in the UK, really are heading in a bad direction at the moment.

A recent case of young British children that were taken to Jamaica, abandoned by parents, now being deported to the UK after 20 years - no money, no family, no hope of work.

But, you can't have your cake and eat it, so you need to support this and ensure they receive every welfare payment available to support them and give them a home here.

The people being deported are Jamaican nationals. I don't know all the ins and outs, but after some years of living here, why don't people apply for British citizenship, and for their children?

I believe many just started working and made the UK their home and did not travel abroad. Since the changes made my the Home Office making employers responsible for who they employed, these peoples lives were turned upside down as they never became UK Citizens.

RWR bang on about legal immigration and contributing to society but then when people actually do that then they bring out another point of contention.

I guess some forget, or were never told they'd have to do that?

"Come to the UK to build a new life - get work, buy a home, raise a family ....

....

but don't forget to complete some obscure forms in 5 years time that nobody will tell you about or believe you're entitled to".

And this was on the posters in Jamaica luring those poor innocents over here? Disgraceful. BTW, any proof of that or are you just making it up for effect?

Little history lesson for you Mottie.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Jamaicans

Jamaicans have been present in the UK since the start of the twentieth century; however, by far the largest wave of migration occurred after World War II.[3] During the 1950s, Britain's economy was suffering greatly and the nation was plagued with high labour shortages.[3] The UK Government ultimately looked to its overseas colonies for help and encouraged migration in an effort to fill the many job vacancies.[3] Jamaicans, alongside other Caribbean, African, and South Asian groups, moved in their hundreds of thousands to the United Kingdom; the majority of Jamaicans settled in Greater London and found work in the likes of London Transport, British Rail and the NHS.[3]
