Engineers pushed to make too many calls in a day and pressured to sell sell sell!

More information may come to light but its a BG
within this post, maybe there has been some more information which is not available on open public media.which is good.

Just really hoping the home owner is not ignored by the mentioned company. Have a lot of respect to the home owner & the local rag that took on the challenge.

Something similar happened to a customer on a new boiler under warranty.
3 BG engineers attended and found no problems but boiler was cutting off when hot water was opened.
I called my local plumber and first thing he did was to check gas supply.
All it needed was a new regulator on the gas meter, nothing to do with the boiler.
Amateurs!

Surely one of the first things the BG Guy should have done was test the gas supply, and the fact there wasn't any gas pressure flagged up immediately?

The article doesn't mention the final outcome. Perhaps it's still ongoing and the poor woman is still completely without gas.
The offer of £400 is not only a joke, it's an insult!
If I were her, I'd be insisting on recompense not only for the new boiler and its fitting, but also a compensatory amount for the inconvenience of being without a gas supply for however long it takes. I'd go through the courts, if necessary.
