Tufton Street and nearby Westminster addresses are home to a network of policy 'think tanks', lobbyists, climate change deniers and Tories

anybody wanting to see how the Tory cabinet are linked here is a map

EG Rishi Sunak
has ties to the Centre for Policy Studies, a Tufton Street thinktank with a history of casting doubt on climate change and opposing solutions to the issue. In 2016, he wrote a report for the group advocating the creation of low-tax “free ports”, an idea that the Johnson government has since taken up.

Great work Sherlock. Now what about a similar nice graphic on the Moon landings or the spherical/planar Earth debate. And JFK/Elvis if you have time.

I see DP is not familar with the house numbering system commonly used in English towns.

55 opposite 54 .....But why is a row of 4 Victorian cottages in a remote lane numbered 43,44,45,46. Sitting on their own ? My grandpaprents used to live in one of them.

OMG FREEPORTS!!!

There were half a dozen or so freeports in the UK until 2012 when the legislation establishing them expired.
The are around 80 freeports in the EU.
Why do you feel the EU should have freeports but the UK shouldn't and more importantly, why try and promote it as some sort of conspiracy.
Freeports have been around a long time, they were around when I was a kid and I'm now approaching retirement age.

nah the Conservatives didnt renew the legislation because they are pointless
that is unless you want the UK to engage on mass tariff inversion and tax evasion

EU free ports are subject to state aid rules and are not free like ROW freeports

freeports are like bendy bananas, a Daily Mail myth

But the EU is the worlds largest tax haven surely?

if that was true, why did Mr Cameron hide wealth in Panama?

More discreet (at least until the panama papers), the South American & Caribbean havens are not too transparent with offshore trusts. EU tax havens deal with the much bigger corporate fish, Ireland Luxembourg, Netherlands etc etc etc. (almost certainly the UK before too long.) are, to their credit, a little more transparent, that's how we know the global giants are short changing the public to the tune of trillions.

Then there is EU member Malta , funded by the Russian mafia , laundering there hard earned cash
