Joining 2.5mm 3 core under floorboards (inaccessable)

Hi, could you please advise me?

I am moving a partition wall and need to move a socket (that is a spur) to allow this. This involves extending the spur by means of a junction box under the floorboards which will be inaccessible once the wall is moved.

I went my local electrical wholesaler who didn’t seem to understand why I wasn’t using a standard JB with screw terminals! This would be simple, but I believe I cannot use one of these legally. Am I correct?

I have seen wago connectors at Screwfix and think this is what I need i.e 3 connectors placed in a wagobox.

However, I am confused by one of the Q&A answers on the Screwfix site:

Q: Can this box be used for a ring main?

A: Yes the junction box can be used on a ring main, if accessible.
If the box is not accessible, then you would need to used 2 of these boxes to met the max aggregate current for this box in maintenance free applications.
If unsure in anyway, please consult with a qualified electrician

If I am simply connecting 2 pieces of 2.5mm 3 core so I don’t need 2 boxes do I? If so, how does this work in practise??

Also, which connectors should I buy? The 222 rated @ 32A?

Why not just replace the spur cable for a longer length ?

You could use a J803. (Forget Screwfix - use a proper wholesaler.) Better still, get your Electrician to do it.
