Hi all,

Having a bit of a nightmare. I have bought a cooker off ebay and have collected and changed the thermocouple(only fault) the gas line has not been interrupted...I have now realised the guy I bought it off of has not only removed the hose but also the fitting that connects it to the cooker. it is 1/2 inch female to female fitting with a type of compression fitting at one end. I have looked everywhere and cannot find this fitting. I have posted here to find out if anyone knows what this is. I found this image on the forums and it most definitely this fitting I just don't know what the hell it is so I can purchase it...I thought gas inlet adaptor but all I have looked at look different to this one. Any help welcome.

It's a female compression coupler 1/2 inch

Thanks Sircer, Found the manufacturers installation diagram and the coupler is specific to the cooker (prob not but it does give the threads and depth), gonna try buy the part from the manufacturer and if not then down to the local plump centre. Thanks for the help ill update.

Paul i would get a corgi reg installer to fit it and check the cooker for peace of mind. Got mine of ebay and had it fitted and all jets etc checked to make sure burning correctly. Nothing worse than a bargain killer.

How much did that cost ya marting....I have plumped up to the gas and check all joins for leaks with leak detector and all was fine...all hobs/oven/grill igniting and burning correctly but I would love a gas safe engineer to look at it for a safety check

Can't remember off hand and it will vary depending on where you are. As long as you don't get ripped off you can't really put a price on your family's life mate. Even if it 100 quid it's piece of mind. I paid 150 quid for that range cooker and it was practically brand new. To buy brand new is about 900 quid or just over so if i had paid 100 quid for the check it still a bargain if you see where i coming from.

I will call around...I have to get an extractor hood put in anyway so will probably get the same guy to do it. Thanks for all your help
