Hi All,

Really appreciate help on this - getting myself somewhat confused.

Got a 2-gang 2-way light switch at bottom of stairs for hall and landing light and a 1-gang 2-way light switch at top of stairs for landing light. Want to replace switches with more modern ones, but can't quite figure out the old code wiring.

This is the downstairs 2-gang:

This is the upstairs 1-gang:

This the replacement downstairs 2-gang:

And the replacement upstairs 1-gang:

Very grateful for any advice anyone can offer in wiring the old code into the respective new terminals.

Many thanks

You wire them the same as the old ones. Only the labelling is different.

A = Com
A1 = 1
A2 = 2

B = Com
B1 = 1
B2 = 2 (unused).

Thank you winston1, sparkwright - just confirming I wasn't going down the wrong path. Much appreciated.

Grateful for one more QC if possible - this is 2-gang 1-way for main bedroom light and en-suite light. Very much appreciate if can confirm wiring:

Again replacing with the modern 2-gang 2-way (but obviously wired as a 1-way):

Thanks in advance.

Same arrangement

A = com
A1 = 1
A2 = 2 not used

B = other com
B1 = other 1
B2 = other 2 not used
