Hello, All the pro plumbers ive ever known prefer hep plastic fittings compared to JG. I thought id see what anyone here thinks as I (bit of DIY plumbing occasionally) have always used JG and I dont remember having had a leak - touch wood. I also like the fact JG fittings are demount able. So is Hep better?

Pro plumbers that I know prefer copper and soldered fittings. I have myself used both where specified or where deemed better/necessary, I like either. The newer demountable hep are ok, but JG are ok too. However the fittings are extremely bulky. We have other trades fitting kitchens and bathrooms for us and have the hep on show, looks an eyesore.

If hep do demountable now Ill use them.
For an amateur push fits the way imo. Ive had many compressions leak by just a tiny bit then spent ages getting that tiny bit to stop.
Yes Hep are nice and slim.
