Dogs in shops.

Please be aware, folks - not all of us are crazy about our four legged friends.
For example, Mrs. B is highly allergic to dogs (and horses) so close contact with them can put her in hospital. Myself, they just make me sneeze.
Therefore we can only frequent places such as hotels and restaurants which have a 'no dog' policy - and that's fair enough. However we have frequently asked GNER to allow only one first class carriage to be animal free.....and that seems to be impossible. So, when she gets on a train she has to check her reserved seat, and if there is an animal nearby then she has to move. Sometimes people are sympathetic, others its a swift ' f*** off'.
We also experience dogs actually sitting on the seats which to me is not necessary and in fact bang out of order.
I really don't think that Fido has to come in for a coffee or a pint, at the end of the day.

Quite agree. My dogs, when allowed in, won't sit on seats in pubs, that would be almost as bad as PEOPLE PUTTING THEIR FEET ON CHAIRS,dogs are supposed to be dumb animals, well, people putting feet on chairs are dumber.
 
Our dog is not allowed on a chair or the bed indoors unless we have put a blanket on it. If she wants to get up and there’s no blanket, she'll 'bounce' to ask that we put one on for her. She definitely wouldn’t jump up on anyone else’s chair unless it’s to get on my lap to get away from a toddler.

This is spot on.
I love dogs, had plenty of them over the years but shopping isn't a place for them. Guide dogs - fair enough and I think most people accept and welcome those. A bloke who wants to take his dogs and pretend they are needed to assist him is while amusing, it's also quite selfish.

People can be allergic, kids can be frightened and some people plain old don't like dogs. There's plenty of places we can take a dog for a walk, for it to really enjoy itself and do what it wants to do. Shopping can only be done in a shop, it's not much to ask that they're kept dog free.
 
Everyone is entitled to their view. I find it annoying that people who have cats think it’s fine that they **** in other people’s gardens and not theirs. Even worse when they **** in kiddies sandpits. Each to their own I suppose. BTW, that’s not my cat in my avatar!
 
There’s an alley way near us that leads to a train station. A filthy human regularly defecates in there and most people think it’s one of the black cab drivers that wait on the cab rank.

My Lilly loved a dead fish to roll on and enjoyed Wallabie & Kangaroo poo.
 
When I was young, if I fell over and graized my knee or had a small cut, my mum would always say "Let the dog lick it clean"!
