My grandchildren would soon have the carpet around the toilet humming nicely. Their aim is as dodgy as my own ;)

I concur about the impracticality of carpet in the vicinity of the toilet, unless it was a type of carpet that is easy to wash and dry without having to be lifted,

Our bathroom looked a bit like that: stripey wallpaper and pile carpet (albeit grey in my case).

And a grey WC almost exactly the same, ditto the tub.

The tiles were a similar shade of grey.

The walls were roughly patched up where old wastes went outside so they just tacked hardboard on the wall and papered over it....

When we pulled out the bath, it had the delivery date on it: June 1985.

Please do show us another picture of this all how it is in 3 months time :)

I have never thought of carpet for the sides of a bath. Surely better than plastic and easier to access underneath than tiles. Wonder if gripper rods are needed

Love it!!!

I like it!!! It would be nice to have a roll around on.

My next job is a bathroom in the loft, no kids will go near it so I might ask the boss if she wants a shag pile in there.

My parents house was built in 1985, or 86, and they had carpet in the bathroom. It is nice and warm, and so long as you are not too messy, not bad.
My eldest son seems to get most of the water out of the shower when he washes though, and 2 boys, well, no carpets!

I think the wall paper might catch fire when you light the candles.
