I can remember when pubs had a jar of pickled eggs on the counter.
I couldnt try one, it sounds horrible

Pickled eggs on the counter was the height of sophistication, another fave was a jar of cockles tipped into a bag of crisps

Lol.....never heard of that one. Worst thing I ever tasted was in France....lump of marrow....thought it was the vegetable...turned out it was bone marrow!!!!Delicacy in France .Dirty fekers

Almost correct. That's a gammon winner though. There's picture on here of 4 gammon losers standing in the snow.
Interesting that you think an outdoors family holiday with the people you love qualifies those people as losers.
I made the mistake of trying andouille sausage in Brittany -a Britanty speciality. I somehow imagined it woukd be a rustic farmhouse sausage -it isnt, it looks like a slice of a whole onoin, Ie whiteish rings. Turns out its a load of intestines put inside one another, then sliced up.
Its not nice.......
I meant winners and losers as in the Brexit referendum vote. Family is everything to me and in my view is what life is all about.
Did all citizens and residents in the United Kingdom vote in the referendum then?
