Peugeot Partner Teepee just died shortly after filling up.

For sure, of course you could well be right......these symptoms that conny had are completely typical of a fuel problem though.
I'll stick my neck out and say that diesels, once they are running, tend to stay that way....regarding crank / cam sensors etc they really affect the start up first.
We'll look out for the outcome with interest!
John :)

Freddie, yes that is always a possibility I admit, but it was so sudden with no warning signs such as running rough or struggling to get into gear etc.
Goint to swing by the petrol station this morning to see if the particular pump has been closed off. If it has I'll ask for a still photograph from the cctv as further proof of my purchase.

HI Conny
If you say it happened so sudden without any lumpy running, smoke from exhaust , I would think its not a wrong fuel issue but some other problem
Hope you sort it good luck

Mechanic popped in this morning to do a minor repair on his van and had a look at my car. He's convinced it was a fuel feed problem, probably a bit of dirt got stirred up when I filled up, so he is going to remove/replace the fuel filter(s) on Monday morning and check everything is flowing freely. He took it for a quick spin this morning and said everything else seems fine, so fingers crossed he will easily sort it on Monday.
Thanks for all the replies guys.

Update: Got my baby back this afternoon, (my fault as I didn't have time to collect it yesterday), and it's running like a dream!
Fuel filter was clogged so a new one fitted and fuel lines cleaned, (don't ask me how), to ensure trouble free driving.
Cost was £82.45 but that included £39.95 for the filter, £2 odd for sundries and the rest labour and VAT.
I'm a few miles short of 90k so I suppose I shouldn't grumble.
Once again, thank you for all the replies, especially Burnerman.

Many thanks for the update! (y)
I have to say, the only clogged filters I’ve come across have covered many, many miles.....often air filters are the same and the engines are well down on power.
When I inspect a filter bowl they are invariably clean, with very little water so I would assume that fuels are pretty clean these days - in fact most petrol vehicles only have a tank strainer.
Surely your filter wasn’t the original?
John :)

Don't know for definite if it was the original, reg is 60 so it may not have been.
How long would you expect them to last on a 1.6HDi ?

I do them at 20k but I believe the service interval is 30k.
The high pressure injection pump is very susceptable to dirty fuel and water and are hugely expensive, hence my ‘logic’.
John :)
