Took a visit to Googles flash HQ in King's Cross to launch a counter extremism fund

He took 400 grand of council tax payers money with him which was matched by the tech company

Googles donation palls Into insignificance next to the tax avoided by the company on its UK sales by booking them in Ireland

Research group tax watch puts the figure at approx 300 million a year

750 times Googles gift and enough to pay for plenty of community programmes

2 weeks later the Labour mayor used an I terview to lobby against digital services tax
(Google) ;)

One of many examples of his corruption. He wouldn’t last in private company and amazed he is still a “mayor”

How does this go unchallenged? Is it fear of playing the race card?

Surely the tax paid by businesses is down to the government not the London mayor. Our multimillionaire overlords don't seem that keen on cracking down on tax dodgers

How is he corrupt?

I think youve been too much right wing fake news.

If you want to see corruption, look at Boris Johnson and the Tory party.

They are all at it, Boris Johnson and his freebie holiday etc
Sadiq should stick to sorting out the capital and spending his money fighting knife crime rather than bicycle ballets and New Years wash outs or what ever he blows his money on. Seems happy to point the finger and bleat at the government whilst not keen to roll his sleeves up. An embarrassment of a man and no I’m not a racist

It isn't only Google who are using Ireland to launder their profits, all the big multi nationals are at it.
The Apple Corp. dodged 13 billion euros in tax by using the Irish tax system.
The EU has ordered them to pay up, but to date they still haven't paid up.

Why should they when Luxembourg and many others are 'at it', why do you think the EU are so keen on this 'level playing field' nonsense? We've lost a lot of corporate HQ's to Ireland because of our (EU recommended) headline corp tax rate of circa 20%, ditto VAT, ditto govt borrowing & spending. (austerity anyone?)
When it comes to Corporation tax and evasion of, there's an incredible amount of hypocrisy on the EU's part, on the one hand they guide us to a 20% rate while allowing Ireland a 12.5% headline rate, for the big boys, between 0% and 3%. Only two things smell of fish, this might be one of them.

edit: three things.

Multinationals are very adept at playing off countries against each other, and running "find the lady" with their money to avoid paying their fair share of tax.

They can only be defeated by an alliance of nations working together with a common agreed process.

Hence the EU is capable of doing what no individual country can. Being the world's largest and finest single market gives them the clout to achieve it, though it's not an easy or quick job.

Boris may want to be a buccaneer and syphon money away from the EU, but without a level playing field he will be treated as a pirate.

Err, yeah but John, this alliance of fine of fine nations working together with a common agreed process are the ones who facilitated the tax avoidance in the first place.
Not sure where you're coming from here mate, you're not making sense.

Well, we are out now. Let's see if the Tories make these big corporations start paying a lot more tax in the UK. Spoiler: they won't

The multi nationals exploit countries same as they exploit workers.
An indigenous worker wants £10 per hour ,the multi national employer says I can get a foreign worker for £5 per hour,
Basically have workers undercutting each other in a race to the bottom.
Likewise some countries will undercut other countries tax rates in order to attract the multi nationals, the only beneficiaries are the multi nationals.

Khan is not corrupt, he's simply incompetent.
The capital has never been this bad, trust me.
